According to ABFHiB bylaws,
Art. 3 – Persons engaged in teaching and research in philosophy and/or history of biology may affiliate with the Association when proposed by two of its members and approved by the Governing Board and have the right to receive correspondence and the publications of the Association and to participate in its General Assembly.
Those interested in joining ABFHiB should follow the procedure below:
(1) Fill out and sign the registration form.
(2) Send the PDF of the completed and signed registration form to the ABFHiB Secretariat’s email: secretaria@abfhib.org
(3) In your message, indicate the names and emails of two members who can propose your membership. If you do not know two ABFHiB members personally, please inform us of this situation in the email.
(4) In the email, indicate your central teaching and/or research activities in philosophy and/or history of biology, considering: a) participation in ABFHiB Meetings and/or other events in the area, b) publications in the area, c) offering courses in the area, d) mentoring in the area, e) participation in a research group in the area, among others.

(5) After being evaluated by the Board of Directors and Council, the ABFHiB secretariat will email you informing you of your membership.
After that, the ABHiB treasury will contact you to request payment of the ABFHiB annual fee, which is R$100.00 (one hundred reais).
